today its been announced beckett has left us for good and gone to play part time football for gainsborough

simon eastwood and denton gone on a months loan to woking and flynn month loan darlington

how the hell can you say that? when beckett came he was one of the best players we had. richie over-looked him until birmingham and so did stan. eastwood's one for the future as is denton. so of course, blackburn tried to sign a **** player who chose us instead. in case you hadnt worked it out, he's for the future after booth retires.

Really??? what games was you watchin?
you dont keep players cos they WERE good mate.
we need to step it up, eastwood is overrated, denton maybe, lets hope...

i agree we didnt need or want beckett now. you just cant call him an embarrasment.

flynn went for 'other' reasons, nothing to dow ith his ability.

Eastwood can't even get in the Woking team! He's behind Glennon and Smithies in the pecking order he's a young lad but I've only seen him in a few games. Denton is one for the future but I think it will be a while before we see him even make the bench for Town. He must be half decent because Palace and Blackburn offered him a contract and he turned them down for us.

Beckett never got a fair run really, I know he's scored 4 goals in 2 games for Gainsborough at the moment but we never played to his strenghs we seem to play long ball to him when it was clear he needed ball to feet in and around the box he was the top scorer for the past two seasons and I don't think there is a good finisher as Beckett at Town at present.

agree completely about beckett. you would put money on him scoring 1 on 1s. Things is, booth and him never played together (or very rarely) which as you said, meant just hoofing up field and using him as a target man.
