Paul Rachubka

Do you think Rhodes should leave the club? Do you think Clarke puts in a lot of effort? If you have a question like this, then discuss it here. Only registered members may post messages here.

I'm not blaming Rabs for the defeat but just for "...the stupidity of Paul Rachubka at the end" (Quote from Peter Jackson)

Until he conceded that penalty we were on the front foot and 3-3 was still a possibility. The penalty killed our chances dead!

Clarke and Holdsworth were both substituted because of groin strains.

I went to Barnsley on Saturday and we didn't deserve anything out of the game the way we played in the first half. The defence looked like they hadn't played together all season and the shot/cross goal was terrible!! the defence didn't touch it and rabs just watched it in!! i admit in the secong half the game was a true derby game!! the fans were fantastic, we sang for the hole 45 minutes and the idiotic reffing cost us again. There's no guarenteeing we'd have pulled it back to 3-3 but we were on our way until a mixture of stupidity by Rabs and a poor decision by the ref decided the game for us!! the thing that did annoy me though, was that the crowd applauded Jacko and his players off and although the players acknowledged and applauded the fans, Jackson walked straight down the tunnel with his head bowed. Thanks for showing your appreciation to the fans Jacko.....NOT!! :fingers:

Come back Munchkin, all is forgiven!

"If we don't have a defence which is more solid and we don't have a keeper who is more solid, then we are never going to keep the clean sheets we need."

Jackson believes Paul Rachubka must accept blame for the late penalty which ended Town's fightback hopes.

"Rabs made a basic, stupid error and it cost us dearly," said Jackson, who is without the suspended Chris Brandon against Bournemouth.

"We looked the only team who were going to score at the time, so Rabs has to accept responsibility for it."

first of all rabs should have had a freekick as that guy came in with a high foot, and while rabs was daft to bump into him the penalty decison was pathetic and the ref needs his head seeing to,and the munchkin will never be forgiven.

a bad spell he mad a fantastic save down to his left in first half at 1 nil,put the midget back in net and 1 it won't help rabs it'll probably destroy his confidence and that'll take alot to rebuild, also with the midget in goal walsall will prob score from half way line.

Now you are being silly Chris! Senior has hardly ever let us down and has kept more clean sheets for us than Rabs.

Every keeper has his off period, which shakes his confidence, and resting him for a spell would sharpen him up again!

I watch the videos every week and Rabs' positioning in the last few weeks has been appalling.

"Jacko says: RABS did excellently for me last season and I was delighted he came back this time and signed for the club on a permanent basis.

He has had some good games this season, but I set my standards very high for Rabs and I've been disappointed with some of his displays - I'm not kidding myself on that score."

rabs couldn't be blamed for either goals against bournemouth in fact jacko blamed nat for 1st,as i said rabs made a cracking save in 1st half and even low on confidence i'd have him in team ahead of senior,

He's had some bad displays yeah, but i wouldnt take him out of the team. After all, the ball gets past the other 10 players on the pitch before the keeper. Only a few goals this season have been Rabs' fault.....like the penalty at Barnsley.

But still, i would pick him ahead of Senior
