Town Await Norwood Decision |
| Rumours are circling today that Huddersfield Town are awaiting the decision of Manchester United midfielder Oliver Norwood. According to the Sheffield Star , Barnsley and Town have had bids accepted for the 21-year old and the Northern Ireland international is likely to made a decision today. It was reported yesterday in the Coventry Telegraph that both Town and Barnsley were in the race for the midfielder as the Manchester United academy graduate made 18 appearances scoring 2 goals whilst on loan at Coventry City last season. Norwood is out of contract at United but any move would require going to tribunal so Barnsley and Town have met United's valuation rather than going to a tribunal. Coventry's financial predicament means they have pulled out in the race for signing the 21-year old. The midfielder also had a short loan spell at Scunthorpe United last season where he scored against Town in a 2-2 draw at Glanford Park. Also linked is Exeter midfielder Liam Sercombe . The 22-year old was the star player for Exeter despite the club being relegated from League One last season. Sheffield Wednesday are also reported to be looking at the young midfielder but Grecians boss Paul Tisdale has said no club has been in contact. |
