Jackson-Yorath combination looking more realistic

Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 17/06/2003
It was announced yesterday that Huddersfield Town may appoint a new manager by as early as this Thursday if all goes well at tomorrow's CVA meeting. Peter Jackson looks like the likely pick for the position, which could also mean Terry Yorath's return as his assistant.Jackson-Yorath combination looking more realistic

Yorath has already confirmed that he'd be delighted to return to the terriers if he was asked. Recently he said: "There have been no developments. But of course I'm still interested. I want to get back into football."

If the Fisher-Davy consortium decided to hire Yorath as Jackson's assistant, then it would surely please most Town fans, especially those who are a bit nervous at the thought of Jackson managing the club without the tactical knowledge of Yorath.

The Jackson-Yorath partnership was successful in steering the terriers away from the drop back in the 1997-98 season, now let's just hope it's successful in steering us back into the Second Division. That is if everything goes according to plan at tomorrow's meeting, of course.
