New Signings?

Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 08/08/2001
Macari is now desperate to sign either Gareth Evans or Freddie Biancalani before the season begins on saturday.New Signings?

Evans, a 20-year-old player on trial from Leeds United, impressed The Terriers' boss in last night's match against Bradford, playing at left-back. The versatile youngster played the full 90 minutes of the 0-0 draw and certainly caught the eye of Macari, who said: "We need a left-back and Gareth did well."

Frenchman Biancalani is also a left-back on trial with the club and Macari is intending to offer one of these defenders a contract this week. Another possible candidate for the available place is Australian full-back Fausto Di Amicis, also on a trial spell.

Another trialist on show against Bradford was wolves striker Simon Osborn. Macari played him out of position and so he might want to give him another chance.
