Pre-Match Preview Huddersfield Town vs. Yeovil Tow
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 27/10/2008
Yeovil travel to the Galpharm for a Tuesday night 7:45pm kick off all the way from Somerset.
Yeovil are one place below Town in the league (20th) and 2 point behind Town who have slipped into 19th in Coca Cola League One.
Yeovil have taken 4 points from their last two games but have lost 6 consecutive away games in League and Cup with the only win away from home this season which was at Hereford United.
Town fans will be able to sit in the Pink Link Stand (away end) behind the goal as the stand will be halved to share with the travelling Yeovil supporters.
It could be the first time Town have sat behind the goal since they tried a similar scheme back in the 2001/02 season.
Ex-Town winger Danny Schofield returns to the Galpharm Stadium and should get a good reception from the Town faithful for giving nearly 10 years of service to Huddersfield Town.
Ex-Grimsby Town boss Russell Slade is still in charge of the green and white army, taking them to the play-off final in 2007 in which they lost to Blackpool.
Town and Yeovil have only met 8 times in competitive action (the first time these sides met in their history was the 2003/04 season) Town won 4 Yeovil won 4 drawn 0.
Town will be without Chris Lucketti, suspended after being sent off at Peterborough at the weekend, serving a one-match ban. It is most likely that Andy Butler will come back into the side.
Steve Jones could be back in contention after missing the 4-0 mauling by the Posh through injury. The only injuries Town have are Andy Booth (back) and Danny Cadamarteri (groin).
Ternent could drop goalkeeper Matt Glennon after two blunders at London Road, it could be that Alex Smithies could be in the starting line-up but I suspect Glennon will be still in the team tomorrow.
Sean's predicted Town team:
GK: Glennon
DF: Goodwin, N Clarke, Butler, Skarz
MF: Roberts, Worthington, Flynn,Craney, Jones
FW: Dickinson
Yeovil Town:
Terrell Forbes is back for Yeovil, so too is striker Gavin Tomlin. Winger Kevin Murtagh is pushing for a start after impressing from the bench on Saturday.
Manager Russell Slade might stick with the same side that haven't lost in their last two league games.
Yeovil predicted 11 (from htafc.com)
GK: Begovic
DF: Jones, Owen, Skiverton, Alcock
MF:Welsh, Way, Roberts, Schofield
FW: Warne, Rendell
One To Watch
Darren Way - The midfielder brought back to Yeovil from Swansea in the summer, Way is tireless midfielder who likes to get forward and isn't afraid for a tackle.
Has an eye for goal and likes to shoot on site. Scored a few times past Town in the past and if not picked up by our missing midfield he could easily stick one past Town's keeper.
