Bye Bye Stan!
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 04/11/2008
This morning Huddersfield Town football club sacked manager Stan Ternent along with his backroom staff Ronnie Jepson and Mick Docherty.
Vice-chairman Andrew Watson has also left the club.
It comes days after Town's 3-2 win over Crewe Alexandra. After only 6 months in charge Stan finds himself out of the job and will be spending Christmas with his family this year.
Results have not matched chairman Ken Davy and chairman-elect Dean Hoyle's ambitions with Town lying 16th in the league and with only 4 wins from 15 games so far this season.
Andrew Watson, a integral part of bringing Stan Ternent to Huddersfield Town, resigned after hearing the news of Ternent's sacking.
Chairman-elect Dean Hoyle told htafc.com:
"I sat down and had a fifteen minute conversation with Stan on Monday and we had a difference of opinion on how to take the Club forward, the management felt we had to go one way, but the Board of Directors felt we had to go another way."
"As a result, we had a Board meeting this morning and we came to the unanimous decision to go our separate ways. As sad as it is, it's the best thing for the Club at this moment and time".
