Smith Hoping For New Years Return

Huddersfield Town midfielder Martin Smith is hoping to be back in first team training by the turn of the year. The winger who has been sidelined since March with knee problems has now started to jog a little and he's extremely determined to join his team-mates at Storthes Hall.
In an interview with the official website he said: "I?ve been edging my way back since last month and just started running again recently. It?s just a case of building my leg back up now because I?ve lost a lot of muscle after being out for so long. But at least I?ve got something to aim for now and hopefully, if everything goes well, will join the rest of the lads before the end of the month."
Lets hope that Smith can return as soon as possible and give us that little bit extra in our bid for promotion. Moving on... The rumours about Wijnhard leaving Town yesterday were denied by the official site, but can we trust them?
