Taylor Takeover Deal Is Finally Complete

Huddersfield Town Football Club has finally been taken over by a consortium headed by former Vice Chairman David Taylor. The deal was sealed in a press conference held this morning.
In a press statement given by Barry Rubery, he states:
"I have today disposed of my majority shareholding in Huddersfield Town Football Club to Mr David Taylor in a deal which satisfies the requirements of myself, David Taylor and the Club.
The deal leaves the club with a sound financial base going forward at a time when they are within striking distance of a second division play off place or indeed automatic promotion, a strong squad consisting of several young players with bright futures and of course, a better than evens chance of winning some silverware from the LDV Vans competition.
I know David Taylor is committed to making the club a success and he has my total support going forward.
I have enjoyed some good times at the club, the defeat of Chelsea in the League cup, the game against Liverpool in which, despite losing, giving a performance worthy of any Premiership club and of course, we came within one point of the first division play off?s.
I would like to thank the fans that have supported me through those good and more importantly, the bad times during my reign at the club.
I am sure the Terriers will win through"
