Huddersfield Town today have confirmed the signing of Southampton midfielder Oscar Gobern on a two-year deal.Town Confirm Gobern Signing

The 20 year-old rejected an offer of a new contract at St. Mary's in favour of joining the Terriers but a compensation package has yet to be agreed.

The club had announced yesterday that Town are to sign two players this morning so far Gobern has been revealed but the identity of the other signing has yet to be confirmed. Rumours are that former Birmingham City striker Kevin Phillips is to sign for the Terriers.

In other news Town winger Anthony Pilkington has asked to leave the club. The club has released a statement yesterday saying both manager Lee Clark and chairman Dean Hoyle had tried to talk Pilkington into staying with the club but the 23 year-old has made his mind up and wants to leave.

Rumours are that Premiership new-boys Norwich City have tabled a £1.8 million bid for the former Stockport man.
