Cardiff are enjoying an unbeaten start to the campaign beginning with three draws on the bounce before recording two wins in their last two fixtures with victories over Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

Team News

Goalkeeper Jed Steer, who joined Huddersfield Town on a 28 day loan from Aston Villa, is expected to go straight into the starting XI.

Defender Eliott Ward, who also joined in a similar deal from Bournemouth during the week, will likely make his debut with captain and former Bluebird Mark Hudson out with an ankle injury.

Jamie Paterson could be handed a debut after joining on loan from Nottingham Forest on transfer deadline day while Mustapha Carayol is also pushing for a start.

Emyr Huws is back in contention after returning to training but may not be included in the squad.

Cardiff are expected to name an unchanged side from before the international break.

Former Town players Lee Peltier and Anthony Pilkington are likely to start against their former club.

Aron Gunnarsson was nursing a groin problem before the international break but should return for the visit of Huddersfield.
