FA CUP ? Stockport v Town

Huddersfield Town story posted by Peter MacGibbon on 12/11/2004
When we beat Stockport, on the first day of the season, we were thrilled to bits ? after all pre-season they were strong promotion contenders. Since then nothing has gone right for them and they prop up the League One table.FA CUP ? Stockport v Town

Easy meat? I think not! Look at our recent record against other foot of the table teams, Blackpool fourth from bottom and Torquay third from bottom.

Our strikers need to be on form if we are to start a cup run, third round would be a good target wouldn?t it? Unfortunately Booth is doubtful and Akpo Sodje is out so after Abbott and Mendes we are a bit thin on the ground.

Efe Sodje is still out of the defence but if John McCombe plays he is capable of putting the ball in the net, a hat trick for the reserves against Notts County!!

Danny Adams will be back for Stockport after his suspension but Marc Bridge-Wilkinson is probably out injured.

Cup Ties are notoriously unpredictable! Everyone of us remembers Accrington last year. Let?s hope that we finish with 11 players on the pitch this year and that we go into the hat for the second round.
