Butler Leaves Terriers

Town defender Andy Butler has left the club by mutual consent accoring to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner .

The 26-year old had been one of eight players that had been transfer-listed by manager Lee Clark at the end of the season and the former Scunthorpe United defender has been linked with a move back to Glanford Park.

Butler had a year left on his contract but he had revealed to the Examiner that his final year of his contract had been paid up.

Butler was signed by former manager Stan Ternent on a free from Scunthorpe in the summer of 2008 and has made 56 appearances scoring 4 goals for the Terriers.

The defender had a loan spell at Blackpool towards the end of the 2009/10 season making 5 appearances for the Seasiders.
