Forest Striker In Loan Deal

Nottingham Forest striker Joe Garner has joined Huddersfield Town on loan until January 2011.

The 22-year old made his name at Carlise having started as a trainee at Blackburn Rovers. His effective partnership with Danny Graham at the Cumbrians resulted in a move to Nottingham Forest in 2008.

The striker has found himself down the pecking order at the City Ground but the coaching staff at Forest still rate the former Carlisle striker highly. Lee Clark tried to bring the 22-year old to Town in January but Forest weren't prepared to talk, Clark has also mentioned that the Terriers wanted to bring the striker in permenantly or on a long-term loan but Forest comprimised with a 6 month loan deal.

Garner joins new signings Jamie McCombe, Joey Gudjonsson, Scott Arfield, Graham Carey (loan), Gary Naysmith, Ian Bennett and Lee Croft (loan)at the club.
