Preview - Huddersfield Town v Derby County
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 18/04/2015
Huddersfield Town secured their Championship status for a fourth successive campaign with a draw with Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday night.
April hasn't been a bad month for Town as they picked up eight points out of a possible 12 which helped ease any relegation threat.
The Terriers have also kept two clean sheets in their last two matches and should they keep out Derby County, it will be the first time since the 2011/12 season that Town have kept three clean sheets in a row.
Chris Powell is already begun to plan for next season and surely one of those plans will be to shore up the defence. Town have conceded 69 goals so far this season - only Fulham and already-relegated Blackpool have conceded more.
Winger Harry Bunn is back from a hamstring injury and could feature against Derby, but striker James Vaughan looks likely to miss out with a knee injury.
Derby could secure a play-off place should they be victorious over Town and other results go there way.
The Rams' promotion bid has been rocked in recent weeks but a 4-0 win Blackpool on Tuesday night has seen them keep hold of fourth place in the Championship.
Boss Steve McClaren will be hoping his side's form improves before the start of the play-off, as they have won just two of their previous 10 matches in the league.
That run also includes an eight-game winless run as March proved a difficult month for Derby, picking up just two points out of a possible 15.
Darren Bent has proved a crucial acquisition. The Aston Villa striker joined the Rams on loan in January and his hit 12 goals in 15 games, including one in each of the last four matches.
McClaren will assesses the fitness of top-scorer Chris Martin who has been absent with an hamstring injury.
Midfielder Will Hughes returns from suspension but fellow midfielder George Thorne (thigh) and defender Jake Buxton (back) are still out.
