Preview - Huddersfield Town v Blackburn Rovers
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 24/04/2015
Two teams who have little to play for but are determined to finish the season on a high meet at the John Smith's Stadium as Huddersfield Town face Blackburn Rovers (3pm kick-off).
Blackburn are looking to secure a place in the top ten whilst Huddersfield are determined to make it their highest league finish for 15 years.
Town are unbeaten in five matches in April which saw impressive victories over Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest.
That was followed by two successive draws, including the thrilling 4-4 draw with Derby County last weekend.
The visitors Blackburn Rovers have equally been on an impressive run of five matches without a loss which has moved the Lancashire side into ninth place in the Championship.
For the second season running, Rovers have clinched a top-half finish as again the promotion push tailed off towards the final month of the season.
The pressure will be on manager Gary Bowyer next season to succeed with a top six finish but his strikeforce of Rudy Gestede and former Town striker Jordan Rhodes continue to be linked with moves away from Ewood Park.
Team News
Town striker James Vaughan is hoping to overcome a knee injury and be available for selection.
Terriers boss Chris Powell has no other injury worries.
Blackburn have a defensive crisis as Matt Kilgallon (thigh), Grant Hanley (calf), Alex Bapstiste (hamstring) and Shane Duffy (knee) are all out.
Darragh Lenihan could make his Rovers debut while David Dunn (calf) and striker Josh King (hamstring) should be fit.
