Preview - Huddersfield Town v Queens Park Rangers
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 29/08/2015
Huddersfield Town welcome Queens Park Rangers to the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off) still looking for their first win of the 2015/16 campaign.
Town manager Chris Powell has made moves in the loan market to bring in Middlesbrough winger Mustapaha Carayol and Emyr Huws from Wigan Athletic on season-long loans.
But as with supporting Town when good news comes along the bad news isn't far behind, and fans on social media were disappointed that forward Jordy Hiwula was allowed to join Wigan on loan for the season with a "review" clause in January.
Alex Smithies makes his first return to Huddersfield since leaving the club over a week ago in a £2m deal to Saturday's visitors, but Robert Green looks likely to start in goal for the Hoops.
Town haven't beaten QPR in their last four fixtures, losing three and drawing the other.
QPR have won just twice of their last 11 trips to Huddersfield, drawing three and losing six.
Andy Booth scored the only goal of the game the last time Town beat QPR in January 2002.
Charlie Austin, who scored both goals against Town in a 2-1 win at Loftus Road in January 2014, has played a part in more goals so far this season than any other player in the Championship (four goals, one assist).
Jacob Butterfield has created 125 goalscoring chances since the start of last season, more than any other players in the Championship.
Team News
Butterfield has recovered from a dead leg and will start against QPR while Carayol is also likely to be handed his debut.
Huws is not match fit as he steps up his training following injury.
Jamie Mackie is likely to miss out for Chris Ramsey's side with a groin injury.
Armand Traore and Yun Suk-Young look likely to also miss out but Sandro is back in contention after his visa issue were resolved.
Karl Henry may be missing as he is expecting the birth of his child.
