Preview - Huddersfield Town v Derby County
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 24/10/2015
Huddersfield Town welcome Derby County to the John Smith's Stadium this afternoon on the back of a 2-0 win over MK Dons on Tuesday night.
Despite a below average performance against the Dons, the Terriers picked up all three points thanks to goals from Nahki Wells and Jamie Paterson.
After a goalless draw with Ipswich Town last weekend, two clean sheets in three days will have pleased manager Chris Powell - it is the first time Town have kept two clean sheets in a row for the first time in over a year.
But they face a difficult test this Saturday as they welcome an in-form Derby side.
After an inconsistent start to the season, the Rams have found their momentum and a win over Huddersfield could put them in the play-off places.
Paul Clement's side were held to a goalless draw by Blackburn Rovers in midweek which takes their total to 17 points from a possible 21 since September.
Team News
Huddersfield will be without Mustapha Carayol who has been given compassionate leave this week due a family bereavement.
James Vaughan is serving the second of a three-match ban while Jonathan Hogg is ruled out with a thigh injury.
Powell will likely to stick with the same side that beat MK Dons in midweek.
Former Town midfielder Jacob Butterfield, who left the Terriers to join Derby in a deal worth £5million in August, could lose his place in the starting XI as Jeff Hendrick is set to return after missing the draw with Blackburn due to illness.
Midfielder Craig Bryson and defender Jake Buxton have stepped up their training following injuries but are lacking match fitness.
