Huddersfield part company with Chris Powell

Huddersfield Town today parted company with manager Chris Powell after just three wins this season.
Powell's assistant, Alex Dyer, has also left the club.
The 46-year-old took charge of Huddersfield last September and guided the club to Championship safety last season after a shaky start.
Academy manager Mark Lillis has been put in charge for the visit of Leeds United to the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.
Town were held to a 2-2 draw at Reading last night and according to sources Powell was sacked over the phone this morning but he departed the club on good terms.
Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens told htafc.com: "We have decided to make this change after very careful deliberation.
"It is made with the long term interests of the club in mind. It signals a change of direction by the club and a new approach.
"Chris worked to represent Huddersfield Town to the best of his ability; to develop us, improve us and take us forward. He now leaves us well placed for the future challenges ahead."
According to reports, former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach David Wagner is set to turn down Liverpool in order to take over at Huddersfield Town.
Fans have had their say on social media and the sacking of Powell divides opinion but the football served up was awful to watch and attendances plummeted in that time.
Powell's former club Charlton Athletic are currently without a manager after sacking Guy Luzon.
