The 30-year-old has agreed terms with Town and will complete his move as soon as the club is re-admitted to the football league. Efe already has plenty of experience in English football having played for Macclesfield Town, Luton Town, Colchester United and Crewe Alexandra, so it won't take him long to adapt to the Huddersfield life.

Peter Jackson told the club's official website: "He will be a great asset to this club.

"He's got bags of experience and is an extremely versatile defender. He's got lots of pace and is able to play right-back or centre-back.

"He played for Nigeria in the World Cup last year and has done a great job at Crewe under Dario Gradi and that experience is invaluable."
