Town v Harriers - Match Preview

Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 29/09/2003
Having won against Leyton Orient 3-0 on Saturday with only Gray, Yates and Booth over the age of 24, the future of Huddersfield Town looks very bright indeed. Lloyd impressed at left-back, Holdsworth continued to do well out on the right wing, Worthington looked at home in the centre of midfield and Mirfin had an assured display at the heart of the defence along side Scott, who also played well yet again. That's not mentioning Stead, one of the Third Division's top scorers, and Fowler, Terrier-Bytes' Man of the Match for the game.Town v Harriers - Match Preview

With everybody playing well it's going to be hard picking the team for tomorrow night with Tony Carss back in contention after recovering from his flu and Efe Sodje back after serving his three-match ban. However, Lee Fowler is a doubt for the game after twisting his ankle and both Ian Hughes and Rob Edwards are still recovering from hamstring injuries, so they look very unlikely to feature in the match.

Town are currently sitting in 13th position in Division 3. Kidderminster are 21st and have only won one match away from home this season. In fact, they've only won one match at home, too. Peter Jackson is optimistic ahead of this game and expects the full three points and nothing less after recent performances.

It looks certain that Jackson will stick to the 3-5-2 formation that has done so well recently. The in-form Booth and Stead will no doubt start upfront.

An interesting fact is that tomorrow's game will be the first time Town have ever played Kidderminster Harriers in their entire history. Also, it will be the first time Kidderminster have ever been involved in Terrier-Bytes' new Man of the Match feature. Don't forget to vote for your Man of the Match after the game has finished!

Garfield's prediction: Kidderminster have let in 18 goals this season, the second most in the division, so I reckon Town will cruise to a 3-1 victory. I've got a feeling Boothy will get his third goal in three games!
