Stead tops Kidderminster Man of the Match vote

On-form striker, Jon Stead, has won the Terrier-Bytes Man of the Match for Tuesday night's clash with Kidderminster. The young hotshot hit his 7th league goal of the season against the Harriers, his 9th in total, and is the Third Division's second leading top scorer. Danny Schofield surprisingly came second in the vote while Andy Booth came in third for the second time in a row.
Stead, Town's most prolific striker since Marcus Stewart, was being watched by scouts from Leicester City, Newcastle United and Everton on Tuesday, and it's no surprise with the way he's being playing so far this season. His all-round game has improved dramatically over the past year.
Danny Schofield has started this season very poorly by his standards, but against Kidderminster he showed glimpses of the Schofield of the 2001/2002 season. In my view, we still haven't seen the best of him this season but, hopefully, we're going to soon enough. He's already missed a few games this season after being sent off in late August.
Third placed in the Man of the Match vote, Andy Booth, had another decent game against the Harriers although he failed to get on the scoresheet. I didn't think he played as well as he did against Leyton Orient but he keeps on proving time and time again that he should be Stead's number one partner upfront for Town. Consistency is what we need and he's providing it.
