Town v M K Dons
Will this be the ? Battle of the Strikers? ?
Izale McLeod is the current League One leader with 9 goals, Pawel Abbott is one behind him with 8.
Or will it be the ?Battle of the Town Keepers? with Phil Senior in our goal, replacing the injured Trigger and maybe Scott Bevan between the opposite sticks. Remember two seasons ago when they shared the Man of the Match Award? Scott went off injured and then Phil played a stormer!
The Dons may be without Steve Palmer, who is a tower of strength for them, who may not have recovered from ?flu and we are without Trigger. Otherwise we both have a full squad to pick from.
We are 9th in the league compared with their 21st but over the last eight games we stand 6th and they are 15th.
Discipline may be a problem! John Worthington has had 6 yellow and McLeod 5 yellows and a red. They stand 4th and 2nd in the bad boys league respectively! Towns tally for the season is 24y/1r and the Dons 21/1 .
Our scoring attempt records are reasonably similar. Town have had 73 shots on target, 88 off target and hit the woodwork 3 times, scoring 23 goals conceding 20. MK?s record is 70/75/2 and 17 goals for with 23 against.
Let?s hope it?s a good game and the better team (The Terriers!) wins.
