Oldham v Town
Huddersfield Town story posted by Peter MacGibbon on 10/12/2004
We go into this game after our first win for six games but Oldham go into it on the back of six winning games! On the face of it we have our work cut out but three of their wins were cup games and they are 4 points below us in the league. Their last defeat was against Torquay and they also lost when they played Swindon, at Swindon, in October. Our overall league record against Oldham is won 12, drawn 8, lost 6. The last time we met them, in September 2002, we lost 4-0!
New Zealand striker, Chris Killen, their leading scorer, has hit ten goals in the Latics six winning games run . Hopefully Efe can keep him locked up on Saturday. Other danger men are Neil Kilkenny, a midfielder on loan from Birmingham, who also found the back of the net against Chesterfield, and Kevin Betsy.
Obviously we will be without Lee Fowler for the next three games but otherwise I think we came out of the Swindon game unscathed.
Late news will be added to the thread on Match Day as it becomes available.
Finally, farewell to Trigger. Thanks for your good work.
