Cherries v Town
Huddersfield Town story posted by Peter MacGibbon on 27/12/2004Since no one is filing match reports, even for home games, here is a brief preview of Tuesday?s game.
Whilst we were completing a double over Port Vale, (but why only two goals?), AFC Bournemouth endured a 380 mile round trip to get to Colchester on Sunday only to have their game called off!
Lee Fowler is back in the squad for the game and we didn?t pick up any injuries. Macca performed well against the Valiants. I guess he went some way towards answering Mags? plea to Santa, he just needs to bulk up a bit. He will be hoping to start again.
Hopefully Jacko will stick to the 4-4-2 and we will get off to a cracking good start again, two goals inside ten minutes would be grand lads!
Now for the boring bit, the statistics! They are 5th in the league, five points ahead of us. They have won two, and drawn one and lost one of their last four home games. Our away record is 1-2-1 . I think we can reasonably expect a draw unless yesterday?s match is genuinely the dawn of a revival. Our overall record against them at Bournemouth is all square! Won 6 Drawn 6 Lost 6 . The last time we played them at Dean Court was in January 2002 when we won 3-2
