New Year Games
Huddersfield Town story posted by Peter MacGibbon on 31/12/2004We take on Hull City tomorrow at the KC Stadium and Bristol City, on Monday, at the Galpharm.
In the early part of the season we beat Hull 4-0 at home and held the Robins to a 3-3 draw at Ashton Gate. Two good results but both our opponents have been flying high since then.
With a settled team we have shown improvement over the last few games and our 4-4-2 formation seems to be bedding in nicely with the Abbott/ McAliskey partnership looking good. It is a pity that neither of our genuinely left sided players has proved up to the job but Mirfin is giving it all he?s got.
The Tigers have the best recent form of anyone in the division but will be without Barmby tomorrow, he got a straight red in their victory over Doncaster on Wednesday. We played a 0-0 draw last time we were at the KC. Another draw would be a good result.
If we beat Hull then we should be able to take care of Bristol City; our tails will be up! The Robins play Peterborough tomorrow, at home, and must be odds on to win. I foresee a win or a draw for us on Monday but a lot depends on our morale after the Hull game; no injuries or red cards please!.
