Beckett's loan spell to be extended?
Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 14/02/2005
After a week of uncertainty over Luke Beckett's future at Huddersfield Town, there now seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel after Neil Warnock's positive comments regarding the loan situation on the radio this morning.
The Sheffield United boss has apparently told listeners that he is willing to extend Luke's loan deal at Town for a further month. However, the former Terriers manager wants him to train with the Blades for that period if he is to return to the Galpharm Stadium.
Warnock had previously made it publicly known that he'd have no problems extending Beckett's loan deal with Town. He said last week: "If I feel Luke's not ready for the first team, yes, I will extend his loan. We were happy to help Huddersfield out and if we can do again, we will."
Hopefully a deal can go through soon. Luke being available for this Saturday's match against Blackpool would be a major boost for the club.
