Lee Fowler Transfer Listed
Huddersfield Town story posted by Neil Armstead on 17/02/2005
21 year old midfielder Lee Fowler has today been transfer listed by Huddersfield Town, by mutual consent. As a regular in the Welsh U21 international side, his desire for first team football has led him into wanting a switch of clubs. The Welshman will be remembered by the majority of Town fans for slotting away the winning penalty at Cardiff last season, to send Town into League One
Peter Jackson today told the official site:
"Lee wants to be nearer to his family and he's frustrated at not getting regular first team football," and Fowler knows that playing in the reserves will diminish his chances of playing at international level.
Rumours had been circulating for a few weeks now about a transfer request, and with emerging new midfielders in Adnan Ahmed and Micheal Collins, Fowler has made the decision to move on in his career. Peter Jackson also stressed that this move was not due to any rift at the club
