Ex-Huddersfield Town striker, Delroy Facey, has signed on a one month's loan deal, it has been revealed earlier today, with rumours flying about that it it could become a permanent deal. He may make his debut against the Latics later today.Facey signs month's loan deal!

The Huddersfield-born forward came through Town's academy and stayed at the club till 2002, he then went on to play for Bolton Wanderers, West Brom and his current club, Hull City. He also had brief loan spells at Bradford and Burnley.

Peter Jackson made the announcement this morning. He said: "It came about earlier this week after a discussion with Hull's chairman Adam Pearson. Rumours were that they were after Luke Beckett so I rang Hull and Delroy's name was mentioned as a possible loanee.

"He had the option of five or six Clubs to choose from, but he told me there was only one choice for him. He is Huddersfield born and bred and lives about a mile from the Club and when I called him and asked him to come down yesterday, he was here in 10 minutes.

"With Andy Booth and Junior Mendes both out with injury and with Luke Beckett being recalled by Sheffield United we only had Pawel Abbott, Akpo Sodje and John McAliskey fit who are all relatively young and inexperienced, and Delroy will certainly add some experience," continued the Town gaffer. "He is still only 24 but he has lots of experience at the top level with Bolton and at a higher level with Burnley and West Brom.

"He is quick, strong and brave and he will be an asset to the team and I am sure everyone will give him a big welcome back."
