Jackson trials left-back Adams

Huddersfield Town manager, Peter Jackson, has handed a week's trial to former Stockport County left-back Danny Adams, who was released by the Hatters last week, it was confirmed earlier today.Jackson trials left-back Adams

Adams, 29, has joined with the rest of the Town squad straight away and will take part in today's practice match at Storthes Hall where the first team will be taking on the academy. Hopefully he will impress and earn a contract, which will then leave us with more options at left-back.

The aggressive midfielder seems just like Jackson's cup of tea, having picked up six yellow cards and one red card so far this season, and we all know how much Jacko likes his undisciplined players! He'll fit into the squad just nicely.

Talking about Adams earlier today, Jackson said: "I thought Danny played well in both matches against us and, as he is now a free agent, I think it's worth taking a closer look at him.

"He is a player our physio, Lee Martin, knows well from Macclesfield and when I saw Danny's name on the list of released players last week, I immediately took notice.

"At this stage, we are just taking a look at him and he's taking a look at us, nothing more than that."
