Fans vote for Pav to start regularly
Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 03/04/2005
In the latest Terrier-Bytes poll we asked you who you thought should be a definite starter for Town and, overall, Pawel Abbott got the majority of the votes, which is no surprise considering he's one of League One's top goalscorers.
The Polish Under-21 International striker has netted 22 goals so far this season and could still easily become League One's top scorer for the season if he continues at the rate he's going at. He failed to get on the scoresheet against Peterborough yesterday but I'm sure he'll be back scoring sooner rather than later.
Abbott's become very popular with the fans since his arrival at the Galpharm Stadium in our promotion season last year, and has even managed to get the fans to chant his name in tune to 'Reach Up' by the Perfecto Allstarz!
In the poll, Abbott received 61% of the total votes, Andy Booth 24%, John McAliskey 3%, Junior Mendes 3%, Ex loan-striker Delroy Facey 1% and 8% of the fans thought none of the players mentioned deserve to start regularly.
The new poll asks if you think Town can get into the play-offs this season.
