Town v Nottingham Forest
Huddersfield Town story posted by Peter MacGibbon on 25/11/2005
We played Forest in our first match of the season. They beat us and were expected to go on to ?Great Things? . It hasn?t worked out as expected, however, and we have had much the better of the season so far, 35 points to their 27. Be warned, all the same, that over the last half dozen games we have been more or less level pegging. We have achieved 11 points compared with their 10, and they have clawed their way up the table to lie seventh, one off the play-off zone.
Pav is expected to be fit for Saturday?s match but Adnam and Tosh will still be missing; it takes a while to get back to full match fitness after the length of lay-offs they have had. Mark Hudson will be back from his suspension.
Forest expect to have the same squad available as notched up a 2-0 win over Southend last Saturday. The return of Danny Cullip to central defence in the last three games has strengthened Forest?s hand considerably. Gary Holt should also be available this week to play a crucial part in midfield.
Forest will be keen to do the double over us and we can expect a hard game. Another 17,000+ gate would be in our favour but I think a draw is on the cards.
