Rotherham United v Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield Town story posted by Peter MacGibbon on 22/12/2005
Off we go to Millmoor to play the Merry Millers. The first game of four in eight days!
The Millermen have just recovered from a long bad spell by winning at Valley Parade last week, under caretaker manager Alan Knill, and will have their tails up.
We go into the match with the spectre of yellow cards hanging over us; Worthington, Brandon and Hudson are all one yellow away from suspension. The possible predicament is eased somewhat by the fact that basically we do have a full squad available again now. Danny Adams has served his suspension. The exception is Tony Carss who will be out for a couple of months.
Although Williamson and Keane picked up knocks against the Bantams they will be fit to face us. Apart from Scott Mintoe, Rotherham have a full squad to select from including Shaun Barker, back from suspension.
We beat Rotherham 7-1 in 1919 but taking recent form into account, for both sides, I fear another draw is on the cards. We have drawn at Millmoor more often than we have won or lost in the past.
I hope we can use the four games in eight days spell to get our act together again, and start playing decent football, so that we can consolidate our position in the league and also be ready to face Chelsea in a couple of weeks time.
I wish all my readers a Hapy Christmas!
