The Terriers not won at Prenton Park since 1998 and that record still stands as Town old boy Delroy sunk Town with the winning goal twelve minutes from time.Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Huddersfield Town
For 70 minutes of the game Calvin Zola was given a straight red for a two-footed lung on young Town midfielder Michael Collins. Tranmere went ahead within the first 10 minutes before early in the second half David Graham scored his second goal in his second game for the Town.
But wasting chances and no ideas, Facey smacked in the winner.

Danny Schofield wasn?t even on the bench, apparently taken ill, Phil Senior kept his position between the sticks.
Chris Brandon was called back to the starting line up after injury, along with a rare start for youngster Michael Collins
Dan Smith kept his left midfield position and Abbott and Graham were up front.
Tranmere has ex-Bradford and Sheffield United player Simon Francis on loan, ex-Town forward Delroy Facey was on the bench and Tranmere?s main man Chris Greenacre was up front with Calvin Zola.

Town were very poor in a dismal first half performance, the midfield were no where to been seen and the defence were on another planet as Tranmere opened the scoring within 4 minutes played.

Tranmere broke free down the right wing, the cross came in with Town fans appealing for offside against Chris Greenacre, the cross was turned in at the far post by the on running Carl Tremarco, who early has been given grief by Town fans over a sliced shot that went miles wide earlier, Tremarco decided to celebrate in a proactive manner in front of the Town fans.
A clear ruling in the F.A rules states that any player provokes the fans should be given a yellow card and Tremarco got nothing, not even a ticking off by referee Mr H. Webb

Tranmere?s first goal in five matches and it sparked Tranmere, boosting their confidence and taking the game to Town and the front line for Town, Abbott and Graham weren?t getting a sniff of the ball as Town wasted possession in a lack lust first half.
With 14 minutes gone, Chris Greenacre had time to turn on the edge of the Town penalty area but lucky for Town the shot flew wide of post.
Tranmere were on top, but as the 20 minute mark came Calvin Zola?s lung cost him dear, Tranmere tried to break down the left and when Zola touched the ball to far ahead of himself Collins went in with a sliding tackle in a 50-50 ball in which Zola lunged with both feet and in the mist of all the commotion the referee had no hesitation in showing Zola the red card.
After that the game went scrappy with players picking up yellow cards.

Straight after the sending off Peter Jackson brought on Gary Taylor-Fletcher for Danny Adams as Town were looking to make the extra man pay against 10 man Tranmere.
Abbott wasted Town possession by blasting the ball into the side netting than deciding to cross. Town?s half hearted chances were no threat to Tranmere who held firm.

With half time near Holdsworth was booked he?ll now be suspended for the next game picking up his 5th booking,
Senior had to be brave as he went in for the ball one-on-one with Greenacre and luckily for Town fans got the ball in which he picked up after hesitation by Nathan Clarke.
The Tranmere fans were rattled by the sending off and wanting justice by wanting the sides even and when Worthington clatted into a Tranmere player, the yells came from the home supports by referee Mr Webb kept the cards in his pocket.

Going in at the break Town 1-nil down.

Second half:

Gaffer Peter Jackson must have taken the paint off the walls with his half time team talk after a lack lust first half and immediately made a substitution Andy Booth replacing Pawel Abbott.

Bringing Town?s favourite son on had an immediate impact, and just two minutes after the restart Town were level,
Smith crossed deep from the right to the far post, Taylor-Fletcher headed back across goal and the loan ranger David Graham smashed the ball into the back of the net to send the Town fans in hysterics.
Graham then blasted a free kick over the bar minutes later, then Dan Smith curled a free kick over the wall but was straight at Dino Seremet.

Town were now beginning to play with Tranmere hardly getting a sniff, the travelling terriers roared their team on but unfortunately with no avail.
Tranmere were forced to bring on Delroy Facey and Jason McAteer off the bench to try and revive Tranmere, On the hour mark Graham?s goal bound shot was blocked by a Tranmere defender.

Facey was trying to cause the Town defence problems but neither side were able to make the breakthrough. Worthington cracked a shot from the edge of the area that hit the Tranmere scoreboard!
In the 70th minute Greenarce tested Senior for really, Tranmere?s first effort of the second half, 2 minutes later Town?s Michael Collins off target, both sides with wayward shooting.

Andy Booth was so unlucky not to put Town in the lead, A Town throw in down the right near the edge of the penalty area taken by Nathan Clarke, who stepped back into the Tranmere fans to get a run up which Tranmere fans couldn?t believe, Clarke?s long throw found the head of Booth around eight yards out, Booth?s header forced keeper Seremet to make a good low save to tip the ball wide for a corner.
But it was the Tranmere fans that would be cheering.

In the 84th minute Booth was clearly fouled by a Tranmere defender, as the referee waved play on Tranmere were on the attack with Facey down the left wing, Facey cut inside and with no challenge from the Town defenders, lashed the ball past Senior and into the net from just inside the box.
The keeper Dino Seremet also celebrated in front of the Town fans to provoke the Town supporters in which the officials turned a blind eye.

As the final whistle dawned the Town fans headed back to West Yorkshire, away day blues struck once, Town have only won twice since beating Nottingham Forest at the Galpharm in November of last year. More relegation form that promotion form I would say.
