Just a quick recap on Huddersfield Town this week and what is going round the grapevine about transfers and other news.Terrier News

Town News:

This week Danny Schofield signed a new two-year deal to stay with Town that squashed rumours that he was leaving Town in the summer with Sheffield Wednesday and his hometown Doncaster Rovers after his signature.

Peter Jackson has said that the board will back him by giving his a decent transfer kitty to keep them in the Championship if Town get promoted.

Trialist Jason St Juste has left Town and is now on trial at arch-rivals Bradford City and was playing in their reserve side this week.

Jon Worthington won the Powerade player of the month for February and congratulations to academy director Gerry Murphy who won a top award at the Football League Award, Irishman Murphy received the contribution to football award at a ceremony in London, after been at Town for 18 years.
He pipped Crewe?s long-serving manager Dario Gradi and Bradford City defender David Wetherall in the category.

Rumours

According to a Sunday newspaper Barnsley goalkeeper Nick Colgan is out of contract in the summer and had not been offered a new deal which is interesting Town and Millwall,

Lincoln City defender Gareth McAuley, A Northern Irish international, has been linked with Town for several months but a number of Championship and League One clubs have also been linked with the central defender.

And in other news:

Former Town captain Chris Lucketti has joined Sheffield United on loan till the end of the season with a view of a permanent move of supposedly around ?300,000.

Ex Town attacking midfielder Dean Gorre has joined Stoke City as a part-time youth coach and former Town goalkeeper Martyn Margetson is set to retire in the summer having not being offered a new contract by his current club Cardiff City.
