Swindon Town v Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 05/02/2002
Huddersfield Town go into tomorrow night's game having claimed 11 points out of a possible 15 in the last 5 matches. As manager Lou Macari has stressed in the press, every game is a vital one for Town up until the end of the season as it is very tight amongst the top 12 (except for Reading at the top). All of the big clubs near the top seem to be playing each other tonight so there is the potential for them to lose points and for Town to make vital ground on the 2nd automatic promotion spot should they gain all 3 points against Swindon.Swindon Town v Huddersfield Town

Lou Macari will be relieved to see some returning faces for the match at the County Ground. Suspended defenders Steve Jenkins and Kevin Gray will almost certainly reclaim their first team places to strengthen the squad from their game against Bristol City on Saturday.

Craig Armstrong, who started his first game since August, looks to keep his place in the team due to the still injured Chris Holland after a groin injury flared up on Friday, and may also keep hold of his captain's armband after a very strong display at Bristol.

On the return note, Lou Macari and Chris Hay's former club seem to be on the receiving end of a few bans themselves. They are without Sol Davis due to a mandatory 5-yellow card ban and Alan Reeve's who is missing his third out of four matches for a red at Bristol City on the 13th of January. They have no new injury worries following their game against Northampton on Saturday.

Garfield?s Prediction: This will probably be a close game so I'll go for a 1-0 win for Town.

Probable line-ups:
Swindon - Bart Griemink, Andrew Gurney, Matthew Heywood, Adam Willis, Sol Davis, Steve Robinson, Bobby Howe, Matthew Hewlett, Daniel Invincible, Eric Sabin, Guiliano Grazioli

Huddersfield - Martyn Margetson, Thomas Heary, Adi Moses, Nathan Clarke, Gareth Evans, Chris Hay, Kenny Irons, Craig Armstrong, Danny Schofield, Andy Booth, Leon Knight
