Huddersfield Town v Yeovil Town

Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 27/04/2006
This Saturday sees the Glovers come to town in what looks to be one of the most important matches of the season! The Terriers need to pull off a result similar to that they got away at Walsall last weekend and hope Colchester slip up against Rotherham and Brentford slip up against Hartlepool.Huddersfield Town v Yeovil Town

The two teams competing on Saturday have had two very different stories to tell about this season. Yeovil are currently positioned in 18th while Town are flying high in 4th spot. However, that's not to say that this will be an easy encounter as Yeovil won their last game against Gillingham 4-3 and are still trying to steer clear of the relegation zone.

Over the past few seasons, the two teams have locked horns on a number of occasions - the last time being when Town played Yeovil back in November, with the Terriers coming out 2-1 winners thanks to goals by Booth and Hudson. Previous to that, Town last played them in the 2003/2004 play-off winning season where they beat them 3-1 at home; Abbott scored one and Schofield got the other two. Town were beaten 2-1 earlier that season, though, with Stead scoring the goal.

The fight for automatic promotion is not over yet. We'll have a clearer view on how things stand after Saturday's gone. I've got a feeling it's going to be nail biting stuff though, so let's get prepared and roar the Blue and White army in to the Championship!

Last five:
Town: WLDLW
Yeovil: LWLLW

Top league scorers:
Town: Andy Booth (13)
Yeovil: Phillip Jevons (13)
