Huddersfield Town v Tranmere Rovers
Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 09/02/2002
After winning at Swindon and moving up in-to 5th place, the terriers will be determined to come out of the game on Saturday the winners. The last time Town played Tranmere was in early October and were beaten by a goal to nil. But now Town have only lost one in 17 games and have lots more confidence in themselves than what they had back in October.
The team line-up should be nearly identical to that of which faced Swindon on Tuesday. The only definite missing face at the moment is Kenny Irons who misses the game through suspension, and because of this, he will probably be replaced by the hard working midfielder Chris Holland. Other line-up news is that John Thorrington might get a chance to play against Tranmere, but, Macari will probably sit him on the bench due to lack of match practice.
Tranmere will be feeling pretty confident of picking up the full three points after a recent run of good form. They are currently 9th in the league and have only lost one in their last ten matches. Their main goal scorers are Barlow and Kumas who have scored 25 between themselves. After losing to Brighton in midweek they will be looking to steady the ship and carry on their their run of good form by picking up at least a point off the terriers. This could be a very tough match indeed!
Garfield?s Prediction: After getting my last prediction correct, I think I'll go for a 2-1 win.
Probable line-ups:
Huddersfield -
Martyn Margetson, Thomas Heary, Adi Moses, Nathan Clarke, Gareth Evans, Chris Hay, Chris Holland, Craig Armstrong, Danny Schofield, Andy Booth, Leon Knight
Tranmere -
John Achterberg, Steve Yates, Gareth Roberts, Clint Hill, Ian Sharps, Alan Navarro, Nick Henry, Sean Flynn, Paul Rideout, Jason Koumas, Jason Price
