Leyton Orient v Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 08/12/2006
Huddersfield Town travel to the Matchroom Stadium for Saturday's encounter against Leyton Orient, hoping to improve their recent form against the O's.
The last time Town met Orient, back in April 2004, the game ended 1-1. At the time, both sides were in League 2. Of the 35 games Town have played against Orient, the Terriers have won 6, lost 16 and drawn 4, so it's fair to say that there's some improvement needed!
Peter Jackson has admitted that Town need to improve defensively. He said: "It is now important that we are strong at the back again for this Saturday's game against Orient, which will be another hard game."
"It's important we don't give them any incentive by conceding an early goal and so we have to be strong at the back while trying to take the game to them so we come back with the three points."
On the injury front, things don't look too badly at the moment. Matt Glennon is the only serious doubt after missing training yesterday. Jon Worthington also missed training yesterday but will definitely be in the squad, as will Luke Beckett who has now recovered from illness.
With Orient bottom of the League 1 table and confidence running low, this game is a perfect opportunity for Town to gain some much-needed confidence and kick-start a winning streak. Come on Town!
