Peter Jackson was delighted to offer Boothy an extension to his contract. Earlier today he said: "People have been writing off Andy Booth for years but he has done brilliantly for me.

"He has been proving people wrong season after season and there's a lot more left in Andy Booth - that's why he's got the contract extension."

Jackson has been really pleased with promising left-back, Joe Skarz, since he emerged in to the first team. He said: "With young Joe, he is definitely one for the future.

"I know I've brought in Andy Taylor, but I've been really pleased with how Joe has stepped up from the Academy and he's done well at first-team level, so this is an incentive for him to keep up the hard work."

Well done Skarz and Boothy!
