Town's Move For Jepson Is Blocked
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 11/03/2007
Chairman Ken Davy's move for ex-Town favourite Ronnie Jepson looks to be off as reports would suggest.
It has been made public that Davy had been in contact with Gillingham chairman Paul Scully about Jepson concerning the manager vacancy at Town but reports today suggest that Scully has blocked the move.
Jepson said "I spoke to the chairman this morning," Jepson, a former Terriers striker in his playing days, said after the Gills' 1-0 victory over Crewe on Saturday.
"Huddersfield have made contact with him, but he doesn't want to give them permission to speak to me.
"As far as I am concerned, I am the Gillingham manager and will be - and I haven't got any problems with that.".
