Town have set a deadline for this Friday (16th March) for applications to be sent in for the manager's vacancy down at the club.
Some well known names have already put their names in the hat for the job and the board hope to draw up a shortlist at the weekend.
The board are keen to make an appointment they told the official website.
"We have agreed that the closing date for applications for the manager's position will be close of play on Friday. We will then draw up shortlist as soon as possible with interviews commencing the following week".
"We wish to make progress as rapidly as we can, but only in line with considering every serious candidate for the benefit of the club and its supporters".
On those that have already sent in their cv for the job Davy went on to say,
"We have been impressed with the calibre of applicants and with the level of interest. It shows we can attract the right people to Huddersfield and has illustrated how sought after the position is."
Gerry Murphy will still be in temporary charge for the match at Carlisle this coming Saturday.
