Huddersfield Town v Southend Utd

Huddersfield Town story posted by Garfield (Admin) on 14/03/2008
Town will be hoping to beat Southend Utd this weekend for the first time since the two sides met in League Two in the 2003-2004 play-off winning season. The last time the Terriers met the Shrimpers it ended in a 4-1 defeat back in December. With Southend still battling away for a play off position, this match could be a touch one.Huddersfield Town v Southend Utd

Town will be without striker Phil Jevons who recently suffered a torn calf muscle. Luke Beckett and Andy Booth will most likely feature up-front in Jevons' absence. Along with Jevons, Danny Cadamarteri, Simon Eastwood, Joe Skarz and David Mirfin all look likely to miss the game with minor injuries while Danny Schofield won't feature as he's currently in talks with an unnamed club.

Southend will be without Alex Revell and Che Wilson. However, Alan McCormack is available following suspension while Charlie MacDonald, Matt Harold and Lee Barnard will be available after recovering from recent injuries.

I predict a 1-0 victory for Town with Beckett scoring.
