Cadamarteri In Talks Over New Contract Danny Cadamarteri is in talks with Huddersfield Town over the possibility of a new contract and could be back from injury in time for the visit to Stockport County on Saturday.

The 29-year old has been out with a calf injury since 3rd February and since signing for Town in June 2007 the ex-Everton man has had problems with hamstring and knee injuries which have limited to the winger or striker to just 28 appearances for the Town.

Manager Lee Clark told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner: "We have had some preliminary talks. Danny has been great since my arrival at the club and his injury was a big blow to me as well as him.

"I'd love to see him put himself in contention for Stockport, and I'd love to be able to sort something out with regards to a new contract.

"Danny's basic fitness remains very good. He's not been out for that long and we decided it was better to put him through some tough training sessions then see how he responds."
