Town Set To Lose Holdsworth

Town Set To Lose Holdsworth Long-serving Town right-back Andy Holdsworth is to leave Huddersfield Town after contract talks with the club broke down.

The 25-year old made 30 appearances during the 2008/09 season including 4 as a substitute. In total Holdsworth made 261 appearances scoring 8 goals for the Terriers.

Holdsworth was a product of Town's youth academy, breaking into the first-team in 2003 and since then became a first team regular.
Voted the Player of The Year in 2008 and watch named Town captain during the 2007/08 season and during Gerry Murphy's caretaker manager role earlier this season.

In other news former Town captain Jon Worthington has signed a two-year deal with Town's League One rivals Oldham Athletic.
The 26-year old was frozen out by Lee Clark and shipped off to Yeovil Town on loan during the 2008/09 season.

Town will also play Macclesfield Town in their pre-season friendlies. The match is being played at Moss Rose on Tuesday 28th July (7.30pm kick off)
