Town midfielder Michael Collins has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club that will see the 23-year Collins stay a Town player until the summer of 2012.
A graduate of Gerry Murphy's academy, Collins has his best season so far in a Town shirt scoring 10 goals from 39 appearances.
Town boss Lee Clark told htafc.com :
"Michael has the whole package; he has a fantastic attitude, he trains extremely hard every day and he gives his absolute best in every game,"
"He also has a unique habit for a central midfield player - he scores goals regularly. He got into double figures last season, but it didn't detract from the other aspects of his game that he needs as a midfield player.
"Michael is always looking to better himselfand he constantly asks me to use my contacts to get DVDs of the top central midfield players in the Premiership so that he can watch them and pick up tips. He knows that he is not the finished article and he is prepared to put in the hard work that will see him achieve his goals."
