Wijnhard set for Swindon return

Dutch striker Clyde Wijnhard will be on the bench in our game against Swindon Town on Saturday, and he may even get the chance to come on as a substitute. The decision to put Clyde on the bench came about after his solid display in the reserves on Monday - Macari felt he had no choice other than to get him back into the action even though he still thinks he needs to sharpen his fitness.
In an interview with the official website he said: "I am desperate to score goals now and I am so excited about my comeback to football. I can not wait to show the fans that I feel better than ever and I will do my best to send us back where we came from to the First Division. I am not looking for a play off place. There is no reason why we can not finish in the top two and I have told the players that this is what I am aiming for and they are also. The fans have stuck by us over the last few months and now I am glad that I am in a position to be able to give something back to them. They have been superb."
It looks like Wijnhard may not be leaving afterall, or maybe he's just regaining his fitness? Then again, who would want a half fit Clyde Wijnhard?
