Today Huddersfield Town defender Andy Butler has joined Championship side Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season.
Centre-back Butler, 26, has made 58 appearances for Town since being signed from Scunthorpe United on a free back in the summer of 2008 by the then manager Stan Ternent.
The former Scunthorpe man has had limited outings this season and has fallen down the pecking order behind Peter and Nathan Clarke.
Manager Lee Clark told the official town website htafc.com "the deal suits both player and club".
The Town gaffer has also stated in recent weeks that one of Town's goalkeepers, either Matt Glennon or Simon Eastwood, could be leaving the club either permenantly or on loan.
The word on the grapevine is that Clark has to free up the wage bill in order to bring new recuits. Glennon is apprently one of Town's top earners and his contract is due to expire come the summer. |
