A goal in each half ensured that Huddersfield Town returned to West Yorkshire with all three points after a convincing display against Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road.Report - Leyton Orient 0-2 Huddersfield Town
A run of three successive defeats had seen Town slip out of the play-off places but goals from Jordon Rhodes and Theo Robinson has put Town's promotion chase back on track.

Rhodes opened the scoring with 26 minutes gone and Robinson wrapped up the win on 68 minutes as Town dominated with their pace and power from start to finish. Gary Roberts had another lively game but Rhodes and Robinson gave the home defence problems throughout the 90 minutes.

Robinson, who was back in the starting XI in place of the injured Lee Novak, caught the eye with a fine display and rounded it off with his first goal since the 6-0 win over Wycombe back in November.

Town were on the attack right from the kick-off, just three minutes gone Michael Collins thread a through ball to Robinson, but striker was denied at his feet by O's keeper Glenn Morris.
Roberts, who drifted from wing to wing, fired in two good efforts before 15 minutes had gone and the Terriers deservedly took the lead on 26 minutes.

Roberts again at the heart of things drifted a cross from the left. Rhodes reacted first to get in front of Ben Chorley and guide the ball into the net from six yards for his 19th goal of the season.

Little was seen of Orient's attacking thread. Just on the half hour mark before Orient managed their first real effort but Jason Demetriou's shot from the edge of the area failed to test Alex Smithies as it flew over the bar.

After the break Town continued to press forward and almost doubled their lead on 54 minutes. Roberts again the architect when he floated in a cross from the left and Robinson met it perfectly with his head but Orient keeper Morris somehow clawed the ball away to safety.

Town did double their lead with 68 minutes gone. Anthony Pilkington provided the opening with a run and cross from the right and Robinson managed to beat his man at the near post to fire into the roof the net from close range.

That killed any Orient hope off and ensured Town inflicted Orient's first home defeat of 2010.

Seemed really fired up for this one to prove a point. Took his goal well and really should have scored more.
