Town Release Midfielder
Huddersfield Town story posted by Sean Makin on 21/04/2010
Huddersfield Town midfielder Ian Craney has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.
Craney,27, had been on a season-long loan with League Two side Morecambe. But his loan with cut short due to a hernia problem and returned to Town yesterday. Craney scored 2 goals for the Shrimps in 16 games.
The Liverpudlian had a year left on his contract with Town and was signed in August 2009 from Accrington Stanley by former manager Stan Ternent. Craney found chances since Lee Clark's tenure limited but in total he made 34 appearances (12 as a sub) scoring 5 goals.
We wish Ian all the best for the future.
